PUBLIC NOTICE

Effective immediately, Nov 26, 2024, Rolla City Recycling Center will only accept Cardboard, Newspapers, magazines, and aluminum cans. Rolloff dumpsters will no longer be used, instead residents can utilize the City Landfill located 1 1/2 miles south of Rolla on Hwy 30, to dispose of items listed below.

 Call Rolla City Hall at 477-3610 for an appointment for the landfill disposal 

FEES AND RATES
 CASH, CHECK OR CREDIT/DEBIT CARD 
 Minimum Fee - $15                      Single Axle - $50
 Pickup Load - $25                     Tandem Axle - $100 

Leaves and Grass clippings - No charge for city residents
Non-residents of the City of Rolla shall pay double the rates above
No White Goods - Stoves, Freezers, Refrigerators, Etc. 
Shingles are accepted at double the above rates. 

Inert/Landfill Materials Accepted

Grass Clippings, Leaves, Tree Branches, Wood without nails
Asphalt Shingles, Furniture, Mattresses, Plastics, Foam, Sheetrock
Insulation, Etc.

THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT ACCEPTED AT THE LANDFILL

​1. Infectious, Hazardous or Household Waste

2. Pesticide Containers 

3. Waste Oil & Filters  
4. Batteries 
5. Paint Residue & Paint Cans
6. Slaugherhouse Waste
7. Raw Sewer Sludge  
8. Animal Manure

9. Septic System Pumping

10. Any waste that the Dept of Env Quality has advised being toxic or having adverse environmental characteristics

11. Liquids

12. Ash from Incinerators of Resource Recovery Facilities

13. Foundry Waste

14. Asbestos

15. Oil Field Drilling Mud and related wates
16. Petroleum Contaminated Soil, except that generated by the city

If you do not conform to these regulations, you are subject to a $100 fine.
